About Nashville International Airport - BNA

With four runways and land spanning 3,900 acres, Nashville International Airport (BNA) serves 20 airlines and 585 daily arriving and departing flights to more than 72 cities in North America and Europe. The airport is the home to the 118th Airlift Wing and is the headquarters of the Tennessee Air National Guard.

BNA is a former hub to American Airlines, who invested $115 million into the development of a new 15-gate concourse in the mid 1980s. After December 1995, American gradually scaled back its operations at BNA, and Southwest Airlines began using the airport as a major hub. Today, Southwest dominates most of the gates at the airport.

In recent years, the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority expressed interest in building out BNA's service to include more nonstop destinations, increasing cargo service, and adding more international flights. The airport authority committed $1.2 billion to BNA's renovation project called BNA Vision.

Airlines serving BNA travelers include Air Canada Express, Air Choice One, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, American Eagle, Boutique Air, British Airways, Cape Air, Contour Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, Flair Airlines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Ultimate Air Shuttle, United Airlines, United Express, WestJet, and WestJet Encore.
